Kate Spade Party

Thursday evening Allie and I attended another Kate Spade party.  Food, drinks, and an extra 20% off everything in the store- how could we say no?  I will have to admit, the party wasn't quite as good as the one we attended back in December.  You can read all about that party here.  The store wasn't as decked out with extravagant decor and the food and drinks were minimal. It was still fun though.  Since we don't really get out much at night these days, this was a real treat for me.  Thanks to my sweet husband for staying home with Anniston.  (Although she was ready for bed by the we left so all he really had to do was put her in her crib.)

I had not planned on buying anything but when I saw this bag it was love at first site.  How cool looking is this? I love that it's a crossbody (hands free people!!!), I love that it has a chain strap to dress it up a little, and I love the "cork" look to dress it down a little.  I mean, this bag will go with anything and everything!  At least that's what I told Brandon when he asked what I bought.  He did not agree- I got an eye roll instead.

I don't even think this collection is out yet.  The sales lady told us this had just arrived and they were only putting it out for the party.  Score!

Fahion Friday- A's Favorite Places to Shop

I thought it would be fun to do a Fashion Friday focusing on some of my favorite places to buy clotes for Anniston.  I absolutely love shopping for my sweet girl.  It's sometimes more fun to buy stuff for her than me!  I've discovered a lot of cute websites and have been very pleased with most of my purchases.  Here are a couple of places that we love to shop from:

1.  Ruffle Butts- I'm a huge fan of ruffled bloomers and this place has adorable "ruffle butts" and swing tops.  I think they are so fun and easy to wear.  Prices are not too bad, either.  Here is A in her grape ruffle butts outfit:

2.  Carter's- I love all the cotton tops and leggings they have.  These are our go-to everyday outfits for Kristi's (our babysitter).  They are cute, not too expensive, and comfortable.  We have a Carter's that recently opened here in Memphis, but I also buy them at Macy's as well.  Here are some of my favs:

3.  Target- I have been very surprised at the quality and styles of baby clothes at Target.  I don't know why- I'm a huge fan of Target clothes for me.  They are super cheap, so I don't feel guilty if she only wears an outfit a time or two.  Here are a couple of outfits that we scored at Target that A currently owns:

4.  Ragsland- I recently discovered this website a couple of months ago.  I just bought A's first outfit from there.  It's a little more expensive but it's a great place to buy from for a special occasion outfit.  Here is what I purchased:

5.  Smocked Auctions- I know everyone is tired of me talking about my Facebook auctions but I can't help it!  Maybe it's the thrill of the auction.  Who knows.  They have great deals on smocked dresses, bubbles, and swimsuits.  I like smocked dresses for some occasions, but I'm not one to buy a lot for her to wear all the time.  I do, however, LOVE bubbles!  This isn't the exact one I purchased, but it's very similar:

I also have bought several new spring outfits from Spoiled Sweet- a local children's boutique here.  This is where I bought her crocheted sun hats and her Easter dress came from.  They are very expensive, so I try to limit my purchases from there.  Same goes for Blessed Be The Name and Kelly's Kids- both online boutiques (unless you can find a trunk show.)  As far as headbands go, I buy them all from Etsy!  A couple of my favorite sellers for A's headbands are:  Ava's Tutu Cute Boutique, Baby Hair Delights, Two Little Wrens, and Sweet Avalyn Boutique.  I have also bought a fabulous assorted color package of interchangeable headbands from The Hot Polka Dot.  I love them because you can clip whatever bow or flower you want to them and it looks like a completely different headband!

I love dressing my little girl and buying adorable outfits for her!  If any of you have recommendations on any other cute places to shop, please let me know!  I love finding new shops!

Wednesday Loves

I have been really loving zulilly lately.  They have some awesome deals!  I recently got this play case and personalized plate for Anniston.  I think I'm going to give the play case to her for Christmas.  She will be at an age where she will really enjoy it, I think.

After our rough week last week I really needed a little pick me up.  So I decided I needed some Tory Burch sandals.  I got these gold thongs.  I think I'm going to get a lot of use out of them.  I may have also gotten some black patent revas as well.  Ooops:)

I cannot express my love for J Crew enough.  I love everything they have.  I recently placed a rather humongous spring order and here are just a few of the things I bought:

Brandon and I have always been a fan of House Hunters on HGTV.  We go through phases where we watch it all the time, and then skip it for a few months.  We are now obsessed with it again.  We are planning on moving in the next year or two and it gets us so excited about looking for a new house!  I really want to be on the show when we move.  I have looked them up and they mostly film in Knoxville and only occasionally in Memphis when they are even in TN.

How cute are these crocheted sun hats?  I got this from a local boutique here in Memphis.  I loved it because you can clip different bows to it.  I had to go back and get a white one as well.

I have also been loving Pandora radio lately.  I hook my phone up in my car to listen to it.  Stations I love?  Fleetwood Mac, Heart, and Garth Brooks radio.  Random, I know....

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I have so many things I'm loving this week.  I've been super the past week busy online shopping and browsing on Pinterest (you know- important stuff) and have so many things I want (or just bought:).  Here are a couple:

1.  Fabulous necklace from Etsy.  I did order this last week and I already have in mind several outfits this will look great with.  I'm digging the nautical look.

2.  My girls:

3.  Ole Henriksen skincare starter set.  My sister bought this a couple of weeks ago and said she can already tell a difference in her skin.  I really wanted to go to Sephora and have them do a skincare consultation on me but I just cannot find the time.  Hopefully this will work as well for me as it did for her.  So far I really like it.

 Seven Skincare Sensations ($115 Value)

4.  Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer.  I cannot express the amount of love I have for this product.  I literally slap this on in the mornings with a little pressed powder on top and the coverage is awesome for what little work you have to do.  I think it brightens my skin a bit too...

Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free
5.  Oooh- Easter is just around the corner.  Anniston needs an Easter basket to showcase what all the Easter Bunny is going to bring her (and for pictures, too.) This one is from Etsy.   I really want a neutral basket with colored lining though.  I've got a cute outfit in mind to match that look.  Guess I'll have to keep looking.

6.  So, I've already started pinning a few ideas for Anniston's 1st birthday.  Don't judge- I know it's not until October but hey, us working moms gotta get a head start!  I really wanted to have a birthday picture taken in an old, vintage highchair.  Just my luck, my Granny had an old one in her house just like in this picture!  Awesome.  In some pics I have seen, the highchair is painted a bright color.  I really like that look but now I'm rethinking painting it. I came across this pic and I absolutely love this look.  I think it looks so nature-y (sure, that's a word.)  Anyways, I can't wait to have some of her birthday pics taken in our vintage highchair!

Fashion Friday- Anniston Style

My little girl has already been rocking some of the cutest outfits.  Although it is tough to find stylin' outfits when they are this young, I think we've done pretty well.  I really can't wait until she gets a little older because some of the cutest smocked rompers and dresses will then come in her size! I've already been busy buying ahead for this summer and next fall:)  In the meantime, check out this little fashionista!

Fashion Friday!

Colored pants are SO in right now.  I was thrilled when J Crew came out with some colored denim toothpick jeans.  I ordered me a pair in a FABULOUS bright blue the other day when J Crew had a 25% off promotion.  I haven't received them yet but I've got tons of ideas of what to wear with them.  I created this set on my polyvore the other day- I think it's pretty cute and funky.  I can't wait to get them in- I might need some other colors too...

Kate Spade Party!

Thursday night mom came in town to watch Anniston while Allie and I attended the Kate Spade party out at Saddle Creek.  I knew this was going to be fun- but it turned out to be a blast!  The window to the store was decorated in true Kate Spade style with a little holiday sparkle.

There were so many people there- all enjoying a glass of champagne, fancy appetizers, and a 20% off discount on anything in the store.  Allie and I jumped right in to join them all.  I wasn't really planning on buying a lot- my main goal was to get a small wallet that I could carry in some of my smaller crossbody purses.  I did end up getting one- and found a few more things along the way:)

Here is a picture of my colorful boxes with all my goodies inside!  Merry Christmas to ME!  Love the way that Kate Spade packages your purchases.  It makes it so fun!

Here is my fabulous wallet that I bought. I love that it is super slim so it will not take up a lot of room in my purse.
I could not resist this purse.  I'm picky about my crossbody purses so it's hard to find ones that I like.   I have been loving carrying these type purses now that I have Anniston so I can be hands free!  I love this gray color and best of all- it fits my iPad!
This last purchase was totally not necessary- but you need those types of purchases every once in awhile.  It's a spade sparkle ring.  I tried it on and knew I had to get it!  It's so dainty and fun and wasn't all that expensive.

Over all we had such a fantastic time.  I can't wait until Anniston gets old enough to enjoy shopping with me.  Brandon will be in big trouble!

Fashion Friday!

This is currently one of my favorite outfits.  It's quick and easy and I love the lime green color.  I wore this on Thanksgiving Day when we took pictures and the color really popped!

Here is a breakdown of the items:

J Crew Matchstick Denim Jeans
J Crew Plaid Shirt in Black Gingham
J Crew Jackie Cardigan
Aldo boots
Coach purse
Michael Kors rose gold and silver watch

Can you tell I LOVE J Crew?  Happy Friday everyone!

Momma's Shopping Again!

Ahh- can I just say how great it is to be able to shop for normal clothes again? It's so awesome to not have to shop in the maternity departments anymore! I will SO not miss that. I've still got about 10 more lbs before I'm down to my pre-pregnancy weight- but that hasn't stopped me from buying some new clothes. I mean, hey, I've got to look cute for the holidays, right? I've mostly been doing a lot of internet shopping, but I have managed to make it out to my favorite store, J Crew, a couple of times.

A couple of weeks ago, Allie and I took Anniston on her first shopping outing. We hit up Saddle Creek- mainly J Crew and Gap. I was really nervous about taking Anniston out- what if she got really fussy in a store and started screaming at the top of her lungs? I was going to be so embarrassed. Luckily, I had Allie there to help me out. We had so much fun! Anniston was so good- she slept nearly the entire time. The sales people at J Crew know us- even thought it has been awhile since they've seen me! They are so nice to me and Allie- once they saw that I now have a baby they got us set up in the largest dressing room to accomodate her stroller. Allie and I had a mini fashion show in there- one of us would try on clothes while the other gave fashion advice while holding Anniston. Then we would trade off. It was so much fun- I think Anniston likes J Crew- and shopping!

I cannot WAIT for Anniston to be able to wear some of the clothes from their Crewcuts line- she is going to be so fashionable. Look how cute some of this stuff is! We are gonna be in trouble...
