Tennessee Road Trip

I had so much fun this past weekend on my little road trip across Tennessee! I drove into Jackson Thursday night after work to spend the night at my parents. On Friday morning I got up and headed to Knoxville to see my good friend Diana and her new baby boy, Kiser. Diana and I were so close in pharmacy school but ever since she moved to Knoxville we don't get to see each other often. This was the first time we have visited in over 2 years! Needless to say, it was a great visit. Her 10 week old baby boy, Kiser, is the most adorable baby I have ever seen.

Friday night I drove to Pigeon Forge to meet up with Allie for the weekend. We found a wonderful little Italian restaurant to eat dinner at. Afterwards, we were both too tired to do much else so we decided to have a fun little PJ party back at the hotel and watch.........QVC!! Yeah, good times! After watching the Friday late night QVC special showing, we decided it was absolutely necessary for us to go get some Bare Escentuals makeup the next day. The QVC people told us we could not live without it!

Saturday morning we were up bright and early and ready to shop til we drop! We hit the outlet mall in Sevierville first. We found a couple of cute outfits for baby Max, stocked up on some fall scents from Bath and Body Works, and bought some really cute boots and jean jackets from Old Navy and Gap! Success!

After lunch at Shoney's, (yes, that's right- I said Shoney's! We are Mark Hopper's daughters after all:) we drove into Knoxville to hit the West Town Mall. First stop was, of course, Bare Escentuals. We purchased our must-have products that Leslie from Bare Minerals insisted we needed! We then found a cute little Mexican restaurant to eat dinner at before heading to the movies to watch Step Up 3D!

Sunday morning we went to the Titanic museum before I left. It was absolutely amazing! Apparently it is the largest collection of Titanic memorabilia anywhere! It was well worth the $25 dollar admission fee.

I then started on my road trip back to Memphis. I stopped in Nashville to meet up with one of my old Zeta sisters, Nicole. She has recently moved back to Tennessee and we are just starting to reconnect. We had the best time catching up over lunch! Our lunch date also helped to break up the long drive back. Allie let me borrow a book on tape (by Sophie Kinsella) to listen to while I drove. Books on tape are now my new obsession. I LOVED it! I was almost finished when I got back to Memphis, so I had to listen to the last little bit on my laptop before bed!

It turned out to be a fabulous weekend! I had so much fun catching up with old friends and hanging out with my sister!

Merry Christmas!

We had a fantastic Christmas this year! I was lucky enough to be feeling well enough from my surgery to make it home to Jackson to spend the day with my family. Although Grandad was still in the hospital, we got to go visit and he seemed to be doing better. Santa was very good to us this year- we got alot of good gifts. Given to me by my wonderful husband, this Tiffany key was by far my favorite:)! Merry Christmas!

December Favorites

So this is kind of a random post but I thought I'd share some of my favorite things I'm absolutely LOVING this month (they will probably change next month but oh well!)

My new COACH purse- so I am not really a big fan of Coach, but I absolutely LOVE this purse. It is so perfect for the holidays! (Picture above)
My UGG sweater boots- I am wearing these things out. They are so cozy for when I get out and run errands during the day.

QVC- Allie and I are both addicted. I've never actually bought anything off there yet but that probably will not last too much longer. I love how they describe everything in such great detail- it's kind of brainwashing. I find myself so enthralled by the products and thinking to myself "Oh, yeah....I soooo need that!"

MAC eyeshadows

Rockaholic hairspray- I am a hairspray fanatic. I have to have hairspray EVERY DAY. I am picky- it has to hold well without making your hair crunchy. This stuff is the best!

Tiffany key necklaces- Whoo hoo! B is getting me one for Christmas!!

Biggest Loser- the finale is next week! B and I both cry at every episode. It is so inspiring.

ZTA Alum Christmas Party

Saturday was the ZTA Alum Christmas Party at Beth's house in Medina. I am so excited that we have girls that are trying to get the area alumnae together again. It was so much fun seeing old sisters I haven't seen in years! It felt like we were still at good 'ole Martin, sitting around the Zeta lodge hanging out. I miss those days and all my sisters!

Trick or Treats

Allie and I decided it would be fun to make some Halloween treats and take them to the Kroger Corporate office. They always tease us about being the "Martha Stewart sisters" so we thought it would be a fun suprise. We made butterscotch haystacks and a special Halloween trail mix, put them in cute sacks tied with a ribbon, and carried them in some gorgeous fall baskets. Everybody LOVED them! They thanked us several times and told us what a fabulous job we did! Yay us!

The Cullen Girls!

This past Sunday my aunt Nancy threw a "New Moon" party for all us Twi-hards. She did such an amazing job with the decorations and games. She even had a "Bella" cake made just like the one in the movie! All of us girls had such a great time. I'm so ready for the New Moon movie premiere coming up in November!

So here we are posing with Edward in the background:)

St. Louis!

This weekend Brandon and I traveled to St. Louis for Mary and Alan's wedding. We arrived early Friday night just in time for me to have a girl's night with Mary and Elysse before the big day. We were all so exhausted that the girl's night ended early, but we still had fun catching up. The wedding took place Saturday morning at a historic mansion in downtown St. Louis. It was a small, intimate, and beautiful wedding. The ceremony was outside and Mary and I were not dressed for the 40 degree temperatures. We were freezing! Thankfully, the ceremony was short and the reception was underneath a tent with heaters. Later that night we all went to dinner downtown and had so much fun relaxing and hanging out. I am so happy for my best friend of over 10 years. Congratulations, Mary!
